Yearning for the Mountains. Swiss Landscapes in Baltic Art
In addition to the drawings of Baltic artists (Carl Grass, Johann Wilhelm Krause and August Matthias Hagen), the works of Swiss landscapists (Johann Ludwig Aberl, Ludwig Hess etc.) are displayed. It is also the very first time for Estonian art lovers to get a first-hand impression of the precious gouaches by the big name of the 18th century Switzerland – Salomon Gessner, a poet and an artist.
