Collection highlights

A provocative hybrid of architecture and anarchy, the term “anarchitecture” was the name of a collaborative group composed of artists Laurie Anderson, Tina Girouard, Suzanne Harris, Jene Highstein, Bernard Kirschenbaum, Richard Landry, Gordon Matta-Clark, and Richard Nonas. The group met regularly to discuss ideas around the subversion of conventional architecture and their output culminated in a group exhibition presented at 112 Greene Street in 1974.
