Čiurlionis and His Time in Lithuanian Art
Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875–1911) was a creative personality typical of the neo-romantic environment at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, of symbolism and Art Nouveau. Being a musician as well as an artist, he carried out, in his unique way, one of the central ideas of the era: the synthesis of different art forms. Photo: Stanislav Stepaško |
