Floromania. Floral Motifs from the Renaissance to Today
The exhibition at the Kumu Art Museum displays artistic interpretations of floral motifs carved in stone, painted on tiles, porcelain, metallic objects and fans, done in embroidery and lace, but mostly captured in paintings. Floral motifs have been depicted for various purposes and their interpretations reflect the spirit of the times. Works of art from different Estonian museums displayed at the exhibition follow the course of art history from the Renaissance to modern times. Photo: Stanislav Stepaško |
