Kaido Ole was born in Tallinn in 1963. He studied design and painting at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Kaido Ole has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Estonia and abroad. Together with Marko Mäetamm, he represented Estonia at the Venice Biennale in 2003. In 1998, Ole received the annual Kristjan Raud Prize and he has received an annual award from the Cultural Endowment of Estonia on two occasions.
