The duo Tommy and Laurentsius who have already gone their separate ways, have been called a pair of DJs that bomb the viewer with art for the MTV-generation. Their larger-than-life collages consist of dozens of fragments, small confusing narratives and coinciding pieces of information. This world cannot be mended nor be fitted into a certain format. Everyone can read it as they like and attempt to keep a clear head in the schizophrenic flow of images. The method of speaking is both the content and the message: the world has been coming to an end for a long time and it is not likely to end in the very near future. “If television has taught us anything at all, it is the fact that everything can be taken apart, misplaced and transformed. A room with tiny windows, as if drawn by a child, a bright blue sky and green landscape that can be seen through them, a black-and-white enlarged photograph of a married couple, baby's face that is pink on one side and diabolically smeared with black on the other, a nuclear bomb exploding in the background. A group of alien-like characters sitting around a table, a unicorn on a plate. Above everything else there is an open mouth that is about to cry out; a guardian for a late 20th century home that looks as if it has been taken from an 1980s heavy metal album cover."* Anu Allas * Rainer Vilumaa, Laurentsius & AD - two recluses united. - Estonian Art, 2000, 2, p. 5.
