Description: | In the 1980s Anu Kalm was a member of young artists' collective Rühm T (Group T), sharing the trans-avangardist views of the of the group. Art Critic Harry Liivrand has written about their activites: "In their works there is some legend coded, the understanding of which is left for public."* Certain distracted being, subtlty and intimity has been characteristic to Anu Kalm's works also during the 1990s. As a graphic artist she has been keenly interested in the variety of materials. She has printed on self-made paper and organized courses of paper-making in order to distribute her knowledge. Kalm has also used gypsum plate for using the dry-point technique for printing. The various materials in her work are in dialogue with the fragmented drawing.
