The high cylindrical tankard is decorated with embossed lobes. The flat areas in between are engraved with birds. The raised cover is inset with a thaler of John George I (1611–1656), Elector of Saxony, dated 1629. The handle is beaded, with a shield-shaped terminal devoid of decoration.
