Collection highlights
The Calvary Group was formerly located in the Harju–Risti Church, which served as a chapel of the Cistercian Monastery in Padise during the Middle Ages. The sculptures, now displayed together, were actually created at different times and are probably not parts of one group. It is possible that during the Middle Ages the crucifix (after Ca. 1375) was situated in the Padise monastic church. The original locations of the figures of the Virgin Mary and St. John the Apostle (Ca. 1410–1430) is not known.
